About MonaleAkol
MonaleAkol is an independent blog that asks a simple question: do the politics around us shape who we are, or do we shape our politics? We think the answer is both, and we write to make that relationship easier to understand.
The Story Behind MonaleAkol
MonaleAkol began as a personal blog and has grown into a small publication focused on politics, civics and society. The idea was straightforward: most political coverage tells you who is ahead, but very little explains how decisions are actually made, or what an ordinary person can do about them.
We set out to fill that gap with articles that are calm, practical and readable in a single sitting, whether you follow politics closely or are only just starting to pay attention.
What MonaleAkol Stands For
Clarity over noise
We explain processes, terms and institutions in plain language. If a topic needs jargon, we define it.
Non-partisanship
MonaleAkol does not endorse candidates or parties. We focus on how systems work and on skills that are useful to readers of every political view.
Practical value
Every article should leave you with something you can do: a question to ask, a meeting to attend, or a better way to read the news.
Respect for readers
We assume our readers are thoughtful people who can weigh evidence and reach their own conclusions.
How MonaleAkol Writes and Reviews Articles
Articles are researched from primary sources wherever possible, such as official documents, meeting records and published data. We separate explanation from opinion, and when an article includes a point of view, we say so clearly.
If we get something wrong, we correct it and note the change. Readers can report errors at any time through our contact page.
